Haskins Snowhill raises over £16,000 for Queen Victoria Hospital Charity

The Haskins Snowhill team recently donated over £16,000 to support its chosen Charity of the Year for 2025, Queen Victoria Hospital Charity. Thanks to donations at the tills, in store collections as well as the Haskins staff team also organising a variety of activities, including quiz nights, to raise funds throughout the year.

Our charity supports Queen Victoria Hospital, a leading specialist centre for reconstruction and sleep which also provides essential healthcare services for local people. We have a key role within the hospital, helping fund the extra things that NHS funding cannot always cover, such as specialist, innovative equipment to enhance patient care, through to better care environments that promote calm, comfort and support patients.

David Lily, General Manager of Haskins Snowhill said, “It’s been a privilege to support Queen Victoria Hospital Charity. The hospital has a truly remarkable impact that stretches far beyond West Sussex and has helped thousands of people in life changing ways.

“Each year, it is such a pleasure to witness the local community band together by attending our fundraising events and donating as much as possible. For that reason, I’d like to extend a heartfelt thanks to our fantastic customers and wonderful community for helping to support Queen Victoria Hospital.”

The Haskins team undertook several fundraising activities during the year, most notably a Strictly Come Dancing quiz event and a generation game; both of which proved popular and raised over £1,000 each.

We are so grateful to David and the team at Haskins and their many customers who recognise the importance of what we do, and with their support, I hope that we continue to change lives in the community for years to come. From funding small things like a phone charger for patients on the burns ward to a £14,000 specialist ultrasound probe to help amputees with peripheral nerve pain, donations are making a real difference to patients and their families. Whether patients are treated at the hospital for a few days or for a few years, the charity is there to support things outside the scope of what the NHS funds.”
