Fundraising

If you’ve ever wanted to do something out of the ordinary, and raise funds for charity in the process, a challenge event might be just the thing for you.

Getting involved in Fundraising

Fundraising is fun and rewarding. You can take on a personal challenge and raise money to change lives. Or you can get a group together and hold an event you’d enjoy organising – how about a quiz night, cinema evening or even a boot fair.

Fundraising events are happening all the time. Local events, like cake sales or challenge events, such as marathon running, truck pulling and cycling, contribute much needed funds to our projects.

If you’re planning to hold an event in aid of us or would like to raise money for the QVH Charity, please get in touch with our Head of Fundraising, Camilla Slattery by emailing camilla.slattery@nhs.net .

Volunteering

You may wish to support QVH in another way, by becoming a volunteer.

Our wonderful volunteers enable us to make an even greater difference to the patients in the hospital’s care. Volunteering for us is a great way to use your skills, time and enthusiasm to support the local community through the lifesaving work of the hospital.

Whatever your availability and however you choose to help, you’ll have a fun, rewarding experience as part of our amazing community of volunteers. And it’s all for the good of the patients at our hospital.

Please email qvh.volunteering@nhs.net for more information about volunteering at the hospital.

Here are a few words from the people who have already joined us.

Local events

Some of our supporters kindly hold fundraising events in aid of the QVH Charity. Come along and show your support. If you’re planning to hold an event in aid of us and would like to include it here, please email or call 01342 414170.

Sporting/Challenge events

From marathons to sponsored swims, your personal challenge can make a huge difference to others’ lives.

Please take a look at some of our events where you can trek, ride, cycle, swim or jump from an aeroplane. Remember though if you can’t see your ideal challenge please let us know – we’ll try to find it for you or if you have an individual place in any challenge event and would like to make QVH your nominated charity. Everyone who takes part in a challenge event to raise money for QVH will receive a free challenge pack and plenty of support.

Zumbathon

Nicky Wheeler and her sister Louise, from Tunbridge Wells, organised a three hour Zumbathon one Sunday afternoon raising over £3000 for QVH.
