Actor Jack is returning to Mud Monsters for Queen Victoria Hospital Charity!
Wednesday 13th May 2026
Actor Jack Ashton is set to get muddy once again as he returns to support Queen Victoria Hospital Charity at this year’s East Grinstead Mud Monsters run!
Jack, currently starring in the UK tour of Our Man In Havana and as Harry Chilcott in BBC’s The Archers, is also well-known for his roles in Call The Midwife and Waterloo Road. However, he will be swapping the stage and screen for mud and obstacles this coming weekend!
The event will be taking place this Sunday (17 May), with participants navigating through muddy pits, fields, hills and other obstacles over courses of 7km or 14km, whilst raising money for our charity.
Jack Ashton, an ambassador for Queen Victoria Hospital Charity, says:
“This will be my third Mud Monsters run – it’s great fun and a brilliant challenge to take on, as shown by the fact that I keep coming back for more! It has also become a lovely annual celebration of the great things that Queen Victoria Hospital and the NHS do in the area, and of course the power of charity and how it benefits us all. I’ve been an ambassador for Queen Victoria Hospital Charity since 2018 now, after meeting several of the Guinea Pigs whilst starring in a play about their story. I have visited the hospital several times and have seen first-hand the excellent care they provide so I’m delighted to be fundraising for their amazing hospital charity, which is very close to my heart.”
Camilla Lane, Head of Fundraising and Voluntary Services, says:
“We are incredibly grateful to Jack for once again taking on this challenge in support of Queen Victoria Hospital Charity! His continued commitment helps us to raise awareness of what we do and vital funds to help us make a real difference at the hospital. The atmosphere at Mud Monsters is always fantastic, and we are excited to be part of it again this year.”
