We are the only registered charity dedicated to supporting patient care across Queen Victoria Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We believe that every patient deserves the highest quality care possible, whether it’s care in an emergency, treatment for a long term condition, or kindness in final days.
Thanks to the generous support of our donors, staff can provide a level of patient care beyond that which would be possible with NHS funding alone. Charitable donations help fund the latest technology, environmental improvements, staff development and extra comforts that make such a difference to patients, day after day.
Patients and families – Supporting patients is at the core of our work, providing funding for equipment, specialist services and comforts that complement existing NHS-funded services.
The latest technology – Charitable funding can help to ensure that patients receive the best care possible, using the latest technologies.
Healing spaces – We raise funds for environmental improvements because calm and well-designed surroundings can reduce stress during a visit to our hospital or clinics, enhance wellbeing and safety, and aid recovery.
Groundbreaking research – We fund research and educational work, enabling QVH to continue to develop new and innovative treatments for patients.
Supporting staff – We support initiatives which enable staff to develop their skills and expand their knowledge so they can provide even better care. Charitable funds also support staff wellbeing by providing initiatives to help them relax and take care of themselves.
